The American Red Cross in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Community Disaster Program Specialist to guide and support volunteer teams delivering disaster relief and care, while following established processes. You will deploy with regional teams as needed and work to mobilize communities in readiness and response efforts.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsabilidades

• Empower volunteers to implement disaster cycle services with cultural and linguistic accessibility.
• Assist with successful implementation of specific disaster cycle activities within geographic area.
• Engage disaster volunteers representing the communities they serve, culturally and linguistically.
• Support local efforts to prepare and mobilize communities for disasters and emergencies.
• Manage plans to meet targets for volunteer engagement and Disaster Action Team tasks.
• Serve as the local point of contact for partners and communities and collaborate with frontline organizations.
