Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Leave Specialist to oversee disability management and the return-to-work process for ill or injured employees. This role coordinates with employees, healthcare providers, department managers, and HR to ensure timely and safe returns while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with relevant laws.

Primary duties include facilitating FMLA/CFRA/ADA/FEHA processes, developing cost-effective RTW strategies, and training HR staff on disability topics.

Formación

• At least 3 years of direct experience in disability management and return-to-work processes.
• Experience managing leave under federal and state regulations is preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination with HR, healthcare providers, and management.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate and oversee the disability management process for ill and injured employees related to leave and workplace accommodations under FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, and workers' compensation laws.
• Ensure confidentiality of all sensitive information pertaining to the employee.
• Employ return-to-work strategies that are cost-effective and productive for employees.
• Facilitate and/or actively engage in the interactive process with the employee, the employee’s supervisor and other appropriate parties.
• Consult with the employee, department management, treating medical providers, HR staff and others to determine abilities, restrictions, and accommodations.
• Provide ongoing consultation and problem-solving assistance on the return-to-work process and temporary assignments.
• Collaborate with HR and management to analyze job requirements and identify essential functions for accommodations.
• Assist with developing and maintaining a list of suitable modified work positions for temporary accommodations.
• Administer and refine the formal process for accommodation requests and the interactive process.
• Provide training to HR staff and department management on disability and return-to-work topics.
