Westchester County Health Care Corporation is seeking a Disability Specialist to manage non-occupational leave of absence activity, including case management, communication with employees, managers, and health care providers to document circumstances.

Under general supervision, the role ensures HIPAA compliance, reviews leave requests, tracks seven-day absences, and prepares reports for management, aligning with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• 60 credits completed and three years of experience in processing FMLA and other employee leaves.
• Experience handling non-occupational leaves and maintaining time/leave documentation.
• Thorough knowledge of federal/state laws and organizational policies governing workplace absence and disability designations.

Responsabilités

• Monitors, tracks and maintains all records related to non-work related absences.
• Reviews absence data, processes all requests for non-occupational leaves, and monitors all absences of seven or more days.
• Acts as case manager, ensuring return-to-work dates are met and HIPAA compliance is maintained.
• Provides weekly and quarterly absence reports to identify absences requiring monitoring and intervention.
• Recommends and participates in quality improvement activities for the leave process and coordinates with multiple departments.
