Job summary

LifeStance Health in the United States seeks an ADA & Leave specialist to oversee day-to-day administration of leave of absence and accommodation programs, serving as the experts for complex cases. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local leave and disability regulations and partners with HR, Legal, managers, and third-party administrators.

Responsibilities include managing leave and accommodation cases, escalations, and process improvements; developing SOPs and training;

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leave, disability, accommodation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ADA, FMLA, PWFA, USERRA.
• Knowledge of state leave laws.
• Experience handling complex accommodation cases.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to business situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ADA accommodation requests.
• Review medical documentation and evaluate options with HR and Legal.
• Determine appropriate accommodations balancing business needs and regulations.
• Manage escalated accommodation cases and advise managers and HR partners.
• Ensure timely documentation and case management.
• Provide coaching and training on leave and accommodation issues.
• Oversee FMLA, ADA leave, military leave, personal leave, disability leave, workers' compensation coordination, and state programs.
• Review leave cases and advise on eligibility and return-to-work decisions.
• Ensure regulatory notice and documentation requirements.
• Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support audits and investigations related to leave and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and develop SOPs.
