Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an experienced Leave Disability Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Tarrytown, NY. The role administers employee leave programs, reviews requests, ensures compliance with FMLA, PFL, and related laws, and provides excellent service to employees and management throughout the leave process.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, employee benefits administration, policy and procedure administration, FMLA regulations, and statutory disability programs.
• Experience administering employee leaves of absence and FMLA.
• Working knowledge of applicable federal and state leave regulations, organizational policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreement provisions.
• Experience reviewing medical documentation and making leave determinations.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Mansioni

• Administers FMLA, Paid Family Leave (PFL) and other leaves in accordance with regulations, policies, and CBA provisions.
• Reviews, evaluates, and approves LOA requests per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews medical certifications and supporting documentation for eligibility and determinations.
• Provides guidance on eligibility, leave provisions, options, and policy requirements to associates.
