Job summary

Livingston is seeking an experienced Leave of Absence Coordinator to manage disability claims and return-to-work programs for associates in the United States and Canada. The role emphasizes compliance with FMLA, WSIB, and related leaves while partnering with vendors and managers.

You will educate managers, coordinate documentation, and drive process improvements in leave management and accommodations. A related degree and at least two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Associates Degree or post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business.
• Knowledge of leave policies and disability claims.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong documentation and process coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and education on leaves and claims processes to managers and associates.
• Engage employees who are absent from work due to illness/injury or statutory leave requests and follow up on paperwork.
• Liaise with STD/LTD insurance carriers to obtain information regarding claim status and determine return to work timeframes.
• Liaise with WSIB / WCB representatives or third party carriers to manage claims, objections, and return-to-work plans.
• Liaise and manage FMLA for all associates in the United States.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation as it applies to all work locations.
• Advise management, employees, and union representatives regarding claims management, return to work, and accommodation.
• Collaborate with third party disability vendors to track workflow and data reporting.
• Initiate and participate in cross-functional discussions to drive case resolution.
• Pursue ongoing process improvements on leave programs and tools.
