Job summary

Peak Performers seeks an entry-level administrative professional for a full-time Albany-based role within the state service. You'll gain training on specialized systems and contribute to disability benefit program processing, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.

You'll join a fast-paced team, work Monday–Friday, 9am-5pm, and receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision, plus a 403(b) plan and weekly direct deposit payments.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems.
• High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Excellent phone skills and clear communication; strong customer service history.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to manage steady documentation flow.
• Professional, cooperative interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Able to pass Federal Background Check with fingerprinting and obtain Real ID promptly.

Responsibilities

• Process daily case intake using federal software to assign and prepare new disability claims for evaluation.
• Handle high-volume clerical tasks: photocopying, scanning, data entry, indexing, and filing.
• Manage mail, faxes, printers, and outgoing mailings within deadlines.
• Answer statewide toll-free line; navigate systems to identify examiners and route calls.
• Review sensitive program forms per training parameters.
• Assist with indexing, certifications, exams, and fiscal payment tasks.
