Job summary

Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) seeks a Senior Director of Workforce Development and Professional Advancement to lead and expand CHASI's workforce programs, vocational supports, internships, and peer pathways. You will align contracts, staffing, and training with funder expectations while driving outcomes through data-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as specified in the requirements.
• Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development and related fields.
• At least three years of supervisory experience managing professional staff or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing government-funded programs, grants, budgets, scopes of work, deliverables, reporting.
• Ability to build systems, workflows, training structures, performance expectations, and accountability tools.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement, plus data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead CHASI’s workforce development and professional advancement strategy across programs, contracts, and service areas.
• Oversee workforce development, vocational rehabilitation, job readiness, internships, training pathways, and related initiatives.
• Provide leadership for contracts, staffing plans, scopes of work, deliverables, reporting requirements, and funder expectations.
• Supervise workforce-related managers and staff and promote accountability and quality.
• Utilize data reports to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Represent CHASI with funders, workforce partners, employers, and community stakeholders.
