Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking a Director of WMS Product Design and Software Engineering to own the full software delivery lifecycle for the global warehouse fulfillment and inventory control domain, from architecture and product design through engineering execution, QA, and reliability.

You will collaborate with operations, automation technology, procurement, and finance to deliver innovative solutions on Infios's Warehouse Advantage platform while balancing priorities and resource demand.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in WMS software engineering and implementation in RF-based distribution or fulfillment environments.
• 3+ years hands-on with Infios's Warehouse Advantage WMS platform with SQL Server.
• 3+ years managing integrations via microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience implementing/scaling CI/CD pipelines with automated testing gates and IaC across multi-environment stacks.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and driving adoption with measurable impact.
• Experience defining and tracking engineering delivery metrics (DORA).
• Experience leading technology transitions and risk mitigation plans.

Responsibilities

• Own WMS platform deployment and technical direction across global locations.
• Oversee integration architecture and reliability for host systems and CDC pipelines.
• Partner on AWS-hosted platform sizing and performance.
• Champion agentic engineering practices and AI-assisted tooling across teams.
• Own CI/CD maturity roadmap with automated deployment workflows and governance.
• Drive QA with automated regression, AI-assisted test generation, and contract testing.
• Establish and monitor engineering health metrics (DORA).
• Lead architectural governance and modernization initiatives.
• Manage vendor partnerships and internal capability development.
• Lead people leadership and talent development for engineers and product managers.
• Coordinate long-term roadmap for global release consolidation of the WMS platform.
• Serve on cross-functional leadership teams to align strategy and KPIs.
