Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade microservices for Logistics and Warehouse Management.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors such as Manhattan Associates to deliver scalable solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership and hands-on development with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, plus experience integrating with WMS and TMS platforms, and driving Agile delivery across the

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years as a Java Lead.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale microservices in retail, supply chain or logistics.
• Experience using Jira for Agile planning, estimation and delivery tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the Logistics domain — designing, developing, and delivering scalable microservices.
• Drive hands-on development of Java and Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and Kafka integrations.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for secure coding, testing, and CI/CD.
• Own production health — monitoring, incident triage, and root-cause resolution.
• Lead integrations across WMS, TMS, Slotting, and Labor Management systems.
