Job summary
HelloFresh is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to design, implement, and expand automation solutions across the fulfillment network. You will lead cross-functional teams, work with vendors, and translate complex requirements into practical, scalable systems.
You will own business cases for new technology, mentor junior engineers, and optimize DC layouts and material flows with data-driven analysis. Strong PLC/WCS/WMS experience and hands-on CAD skills are required.
Qualifications
- BS Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or similar required.
- 8+ years of engineering experience in multi-site distribution or manufacturing.
- Experience with Warehouse Conveyance and PLCs.
- Hands-on with WCS/WES and WMS.
- Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation design for distribution centers.
- Collaborate with vendors and engineers on RFQs and requirements.
- Drive analytics to measure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Translate complex tech into clear docs.
- Develop business cases for CapEx.
