Job summary

Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) seeks a Director of Gender-Based Violence & Trauma Services to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for DV and trauma programs at CHASI sites. The role focuses on survivor-centered, trauma-informed care and collaboration with the VP of Prevention & Intervention.

Qualifications

• LMSW preferred or related licensure.
• 4+ years of experience providing mental health/trauma counseling to survivors of gender-based violence.
• 2+ years supervising staff or managing programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and management to DV & Trauma Services staff.
• Develop and articulate program strategy, vision and goals with VP.
• Facilitate DV-focused prevention counseling and case management meetings.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure survivor-centered practices.
• Develop SOPs and monitor DV data; report to CHASI leadership and funders.
• Coordinate with partner agencies, including FJC and DA’s office.
