Job summary

VOA GNY seeks a Clinical Supervisor/Director of Social Services to provide agency-wide clinical leadership for domestic violence shelter programs. The role supervises licensed clinicians, delivers trauma-informed care, and maintains a small caseload for high-need clients.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with after-hours crisis coverage as needed. The position collaborates with leadership to ensure compliance with funder and regulatory requirements and supports staff development and

Qualifications

• Must hold current NYS licensure (LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC).
• Minimum three years of clinical experience with trauma-impacted populations, preferably DV survivors.
• Minimum two years of clinical supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and leadership across all DV shelter programs and sites.
• Supervise licensed clinicians and social workers, including the SRT Therapist at Victory I, and provide clinical consultation across DV sites.
• Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions and case conferences.
• Maintain a small caseload of clients with complex clinical needs.
• Complete psychosocial and clinical assessments to support housing applications and service planning.
• Provide crisis support and after-hours on-call as required.
• Ensure clinical documentation meets agency and funder standards.
• Promote staff development and trauma-informed supervision.
• Collaborate with program leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
