Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to own US GAAP and SEC reporting, lead complex acquisition accounting, and design robust internal controls.

You will partner with executives across finance and legal, overseeing policy manuals, checklists, and SOX 404 controls to ensure accuracy and audit readiness. The role requires directing technical positions, coordinating with external auditors, and mentoring the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA active license preferred.
• 8+ years accounting experience, incl. public company exposure.
• Experience with business combinations under ASC 805.
• SOX 404 control design and documentation experience.
• Ability to write technical accounting memoranda accepted by auditors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority on US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Own acquisition accounting end-to-end including PPA and opening balance sheets.
• Build and maintain accounting checklists and management review framework.
• Lead design/implementation of SOX 404 controls and remediation.
• Support external reporting, MD&A disclosures, and audit interactions.
• Advise leadership on accounting implications of transactions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/related field

CPA license (active)

Public accounting experience

ASC 805 / business combinations
