Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to own US GAAP and SEC reporting, develop policies, and lead SOX 404 controls. You will partner with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial statements across segments and acquisitions.

You will design checklists and controls, coordinate with external auditors, and mentor the finance team to ensure consistency and reliability in judgments and documentation.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred and active licensure is ideal.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting.
• Hands-on ownership of ASC 805 acquisition accounting and purchase price allocations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's authority on US GAAP and SEC reporting; research, conclude, and document complex transactions.
• Own acquisition accounting end-to-end: PPA, fair value, contingent consideration, and opening balance sheets.
• Build and maintain accounting checklists and management review framework for acquisitions, revenue, and significant transactions.
• Lead SOX 404 controls design over financial statements and partner with Internal Audit on risk and control activities.
• Support external reporting: Forms 10-K/10-Q and significant transaction disclosures; coordinate with auditors.
• Advise executives on accounting implications of contemplated transactions and develop scalable frameworks.
