Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Technical Accounting team to lead research, documentation, and application of US GAAP across the company.

You will draft technical memos, support acquisition accounting, and maintain policy documentation in a fast-growing environment. The role includes support for consolidation, internal controls, external reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required or actively in progress.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting with emphasis on technical accounting or auditing SEC registrants.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 805, ASC 810, and ASC 606.
• Experience preparing or assisting with technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
• Strong research and writing skills — ability to synthesize complex guidance into clear, well-supported conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Accounting Research & Policy: Research and draft technical accounting memoranda applying US GAAP guidance.
• Business Combinations & Consolidation: Support ASC 805 acquisition accounting and coordination with valuation specialists.
• Checklists, Frameworks & Documentation: Maintain acquisition, revenue, quarterly reporting checklists and policy docs.
• SOX & Internal Controls: Support design and documentation of internal controls over technical areas and assist with SOX testing evidence.
• External Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare disclosures in Form 10-K/10-Q and provide robust support packages for audits.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Legal to gather inputs.
