Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the financial reporting and accounting operations for its Care Delivery segment—our primary and specialty care clinics, post-acute and inpatient services, and related facilities.

The role reports to the SVP - Accounting and partners with the CFO, FP&A, and external auditors. Responsible for intercompany accounting, consolidation, and a scalable accounting team across hospital and clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with multi-entity operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and close processes.
• Experience in healthcare accounting settings including clinics and hospitals.
• Proven ownership of SOX 404 internal controls and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for the Care Delivery segment: general ledger, close, balance sheet substantiation, and period-end reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition for clinic and ancillary operations under ASC 606; manage intercompany revenue and eliminations.
• Manage intersegment and intercompany accounting across Care Delivery, Care Partners, and Care Enablement.
• Oversee hospital accounting for Foothill Regional Medical Center: AR, allowances, inventory, fixed assets, and related programs.
• Lead the segment's consolidation, impairment testing, and internal control framework (SOX 404).
• Drive close acceleration, standardization, and automation across Care Delivery entities.
• Lead accounting integration for newly acquired clinics and service lines.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle to reconcile GL to patient accounts receivable and ensure accurate postings.
