Job summary

Atwell, LLC is hiring a Director of Utility Substations to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for substation engineering services. You will guide a team across execution, QA, and process improvements while targeting revenue growth and client success.

This role supports in-office or full-time remote work for the US market. Ideal candidates hold a BSEE/BSEET, 10+ years in substation engineering, and PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with power focus preferred.
• 10+ years in substation engineering with at least 4 years in leadership or supervision.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and forecasting for the substation group, aligning with company goals.
• Drive governance, standards, and best practices to improve execution quality.
• Mentor Team Leads and engineers, shaping technical direction and industry engagement.
• Ensure revenue targets, resource utilization, and client satisfaction across projects.
