Job summary

Expedia Group, Seattle, seeks a Director of Strategy and Service Insights to lead high-impact work for Traveler and Partner Service. You will frame critical questions, structure analyses, and drive clear recommendations to senior leadership.

This role emphasizes coaching, executive storytelling, and collaboration with service and operations leaders. You will own problem framing, workplans, and accountability across multiple workstreams, guiding informed decisions that improve experiences for

Qualifications

• MBA or quantitative graduate degree with 10+ years in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations or similar problem-solving roles.
• 4+ years leading teams through problem-solving work from scoping to recommendation, including head of a strategy or business operations team.
• Experience leading a team of at least four people and coaching them on work.
• Proven ability to turn unclear questions into actionable recommendations used by leaders.
• Ability to build, read and challenge analyses; comfortable with Excel, SQL outputs, dashboards and data teams.
• Clear writing and speaking; you have presented to VP‑level or more senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Frame the questions with service leaders and define impact, deliverables, and impact.
• Structure the work by breaking questions into hypotheses and workplans; assign across team.
• Review analyses for logic, data, and assumptions; provide feedback.
• Lead managers and senior managers who run separate workstreams; set expectations and assist as needed.
• Write and present executive storyline; defend thinking and recommendations to executives.
