Job summary

Syneos Health in the United States/Canada seeks a Dir/Sr Dir of Strategy & Delivery in Gen Med - Rare Disease to lead study engagement strategies and pre/post‑award execution. You will partner across BD, Medical Strategy, and operations to secure opportunities and deliver complex programs.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage risks and budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in the life sciences, nursing degree, or equivalent education or equivalent related experience, plus extensive clinical research experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company.
• Deep knowledge of global drug development and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead customer interactions
• Demonstrated operational and financial acumen across multiple programs, including prioritization, forecasting, and delivery execution
• Proven leadership in complex, matrixed environments
• Willingness to travel ~25%

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute study and customer engagement strategies that align with customer objectives.
• Lead pre-award activities including account planning, proposal strategy, proposal development, and Bid Defense Meetings.
• Build cross-functional partnerships and lead proposal development with alignment to operations and financials.
• Ensure seamless transition from pre-award to study execution with aligned commitments.
• Lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams and manage risks and issues.
• Deliver studies on time, within scope, and budget, maintaining customer satisfaction.
