Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Director, Asset Planning (Stations Planning & Design) to shape ongoing and future investments in NYCT subway stations. You will establish station-by-station strategies, manage capital program projects, and coordinate with multiple teams on scoping and implementation.

The role requires extensive planning expertise, managerial experience, and strong collaboration across departments to enhance reliability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field.
• Minimum years of related experience and managerial experience as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Develop station planning visions and capital investment strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align station project scopes with planning goals.
• Create and document station planning proposals and present results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data-driven analyses: life-cycle costing, investment scenarios, condition deterioration.
• Lead and guide junior staff and manage timelines and budgets as needed.
