Job summary

The Director, Asset Planning (Stations Planning & Design) at MTA Construction & Development will guide ongoing and future investments in NYCT subway stations, establishing station-by-station strategies and capital program projects, while coordinating with multiple teams to implement design solutions.

The role demands extensive experience in capital planning, strong managerial skills, and a track record of leading complex projects across agencies, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer

Qualifications

• Must have minimum eight (10) years of related experience.
• Must have minimum four (6) years of managerial experience.
• Master's degree is preferred; RA, PE, or AICP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of the MTA's subway station assets and investment processes.
• Create station-by-station visions for capital investment and design strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to establish station planning goals and project development.
• Create and document station investment proposals, including graphics and data visualizations.
• Manage timelines, consultant engagements, and budget development; guide junior staff.
