Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Director, Asset Planning (Stations Planning & Design) for the Construction & Development division. Based at 2 Broadway, the role shapes investments in NYCT subway stations, establishing station-by-station strategies and design visions across capital programs.

Telework is allowed one day per week after 30 days of hire. The ideal candidate has a architecture/planning/engineering degree with 8–10 years of experience and 4–6 years in leadership;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of eight (10) years of related experience with at least four (6) years in management.
• RA, PE, or AICP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop station-by-station visions for capital investment and design strategies based on opportunity, condition, performance, safety, and reliability.
• Coordinate with multiple constituencies and stakeholders to set station planning goals and project development.
• Create, present, and document station planning visions, data visualizations, and proposals for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Review station project scope for alignment with planning goals and assist in alignment of timelines.
• Support development of data, investment rules, and analytic tools to improve capital planning processes.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, consultant engagements, and budget development; guide direct reports.
