Job summary

Travere Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases, is seeking a Director of Specialty Pharmacy, Trade, and Distribution in San Diego, with remote options. The role leads specialty pharmacy accounts, trade operations, and 3PL partnerships to ensure patient access, service quality, and product availability.

Collaboration across Access, Reimbursement, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of pharma/biotech experience in specialty pharmacy, trade and distribution, patient access.
• Proven track record managing specialty pharmacy relationships including account planning and performance oversight.
• Experience with specialty distribution models, 3PL operations, and channel partner contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and translate strategy into operational execution.
• Experience supporting specialty products accessed through the pharmacy benefit preferred.
• Rare disease, limited distribution network, and small/mid-size biotech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead specialty pharmacy account management as the primary business relationship owner and drive account plans, reviews, and partner accountability.
• Oversee SP performance, patient access, service levels, and metrics to improve referral processing and time to therapy.
• Lead trade and distribution planning to ensure network capabilities for product growth and evolving needs.
• Manage 3PL and distribution operations with inventory and cash management to ensure availability and continuity.
• Oversee partner contracting, service requirements, budgets, and invoicing for contracted services.
• Drive data-driven improvements with IT, Analytics, and Commercial Operations to strengthen reporting and workflows.
• Coordinate onboarding and launch readiness for new partners and channel changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve access barriers and ensure regulatory compliance.
