Job summary

Cardinal Health Innovative Care Pharmacy seeks a Director, Business Development to lead sales of specialty pharmacy services to manufacturers, focusing on cell and gene therapies, rare diseases and advanced therapies. Reports to the Director, Innovative Care Pharmacy and is an individual contributor with strategic revenue remit.

You will build executive relationships, develop account plans, manage a robust pipeline, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or commensurate experience.
• 5-8 years healthcare sales experience.
• 3+ years selling specialty pharmacy services.
• Strong understanding of Specialty market incl. cell & gene therapies.
• Proven ability to convert relationships to sales.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Grow contracts between Innovative Care Pharmacy and specialty manufacturers.
• Call on senior leaders in targeted pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
• Act as primary contact for potential customers in cell, gene, and other therapies.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans per target account.
• Serve as client manager for existing clients.
• Grow and manage current client bases.
• Develop and maintain new target account files.
• Generate new business development leads.
• Knowledgeable in Salesforce.com and sales processes.
• Secure future business by identifying opportunities and building a pipeline.
• Close business to exceed revenue targets.
• Collaborate with 3PL team on concepts and services.
• Attend client meetings and conferences as needed.
• Prepare price quotations and timelines per policy.
