Job summary

ADAPT Community Network seeks a Program Director for the Smart Living Center to lead development, implementation, and growth, promoting independence for people we support. The role combines program leadership with stakeholder engagement to advance strategic goals and broaden community impact.

Located on the Bronx Stillwell Campus, the center will showcase and test technologies for independence and safety, inviting community members, families, providers, researchers, and tech partners to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred (e.g. MPH, MBA, MHA).
• Strong project coordination or program management experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to promote programs and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience presenting to stakeholders or conducting community outreach preferred.
• Passion for ADAPT's mission and demonstrates a commitment to the non-profit disability sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative services that promote independence and community inclusion at the Smart Living Center, including visits/tours and trainings.
• Explore and build partnerships with technology companies to showcase new technologies and services.
• Explore and build partnerships with universities to develop research and projects.
• Explore and build partnerships with investment firms focused on the disability population.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to grow the Smart Living Center.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional project teams and monitor timelines and outcomes.
• Support development of grant proposals.
• Build relationships with community partners, referral sources, families, provider organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Support data collection, reporting, and program evaluation efforts.
• Monitor progress and recommend process improvements.
• Develop presentations, proposals, reports, and program materials.
• Recruit and supervise staff and people supported as the program expands.
• Represent the organization in meetings, presentations, and outreach activities.
