Job summary

Community Resources of Staten Island is seeking a Director of New Programs and Innovation to lead the design, testing, and scaling of forward-thinking services for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will work with families, self-advocates, and partner agencies to pilot new models and expand the IRA portfolio, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in program development or operations and strong project management, stakeholder collaboration, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent with progressively responsible experience in program development or operations.
• Master’s degree preferred (MSW/CSW).
• Five+ years in program development, service design, innovation, or operations.
• Experience designing, launching, evaluating, and scaling programs from concept to implementation.
• Knowledge of person-centered practices, Medicaid-funded services, waiver programs, and NY OPWDD systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing, implementation, and scaling of innovative services for individuals with IDD.
• Develop modern, person-centered service models expanding beyond traditional offerings.
• Expand IRA portfolio and pursue new development opportunities, including partnerships and innovative housing.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicaid waivers.
• Collaborate with families, self-advocates, and provider agencies to refine initiatives.
• Track outcomes and key metrics to inform organizational decisions and scale successful pilots.
• Assist with grant budgeting and securing funding for pilots and new programs.
