Job summary

Sonepar USA, Inc. is seeking a Director of SIOP to lead the enterprise Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process. You will create a disciplined connection between demand, commercial priorities, inventory strategy, capacity, and supplier performance across Functions and suppliers.

This role partners to translate forecasts into practical capacity and inventory plans. The role emphasizes governance, dashboards, and continuous improvement, with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in supply chain planning, inventory, operations, procurement, demand/supply planning, or SIOP/S&OP leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional planning in multi-site or complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP, planning tools, dashboards, supplier management, replenishment, and inventory optimization.
• Proven success driving standardization, adoption, analytics usage, and measurable performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly SIOP cycle, establish standards, define decision rights, and ensure alignment across growth plans, service expectations, inventory strategy, operational capacity, and supplier performance.
• Translate customer demand signals, account plans, market trends, and commercial forecasts to the supply chain and supplier actions that improve availability, lead times, service reliability, and joint planning discipline.
• Link demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, replenishment, and inventory targets to ensure the right material is available while reducing excess exposure and supporting DIO, turns, and working capital goals.
• Maintain SIOP dashboards and scorecards, monitor leading and lagging metrics, identify planning gaps, and drive corrective actions with clear ownership, target dates, and measurable performance outcomes.
• Facilitate alignment across internal functions and external suppliers, clarify trade-offs, influence decisions with data, and strengthen SIOP capability, adoption, and accountability across the organization.
