Job summary

The State University of New York seeks an experienced higher education leader to serve as Director of Reverse Transfer and Student Mobility. This role provides strategic leadership for a statewide initiative to expand degree completion across SUNY, overseeing policy, technology-enabled workflows, and cross-campus collaboration to recognize prior credits.

Reporting to the AVP for Transfer and Articulation, the Director will guide program implementation, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, student success, enrollment management, registrar operations, institutional research, academic affairs, transfer services, articulation, degree audit, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience developing or implementing policies, procedures, operational processes, or student success initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with campus leaders and external partners.
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex policies, data, and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SUNY's reverse transfer initiative and related articulation processes.
• Manage statewide implementation efforts, including pilot programs, campus onboarding, and ongoing operational support for reverse transfer and aligned mobility initiatives.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, campus workflows, training materials, and implementation resources.
• Serve as SUNY's subject matter expert on reverse transfer degree completion strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve participation, efficiency, and student outcomes in reverse transfer and aligned mobility initiatives.
• Coordinate efforts with registrars, institutional research, enrollment management, IT staff, and external partners; facilitate workshops and communities of practice.
