Job summary

Rider University invites applications for the Associate Director of Transfer Enrollment. This role reports to the Director of Transfer Enrollment and supports transfer students and the transfer team to help the university hit its goals.

Key responsibilities include managing a Northern New Jersey transfer recruitment territory, supervising a transfer counselor, coordinating student workers, and helping create articulation agreements with community colleges to improve access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of experience in a transfer/advising role at a two-year college or similar exposure at a four-year institution.
• Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, and strong understanding of the transfer student experience.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation for travel requirements.
• Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a transfer recruitment territory of approximately 10 schools in Northern NJ, meeting with counselors and students and providing detailed Rider information.
• Make data-driven decisions independently for the assigned territory.
• Supervise one full-time transfer counselor.
• Assist with managing transfer student workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Coordinate and implement transfer-related on-campus events and serve as co-advisor to the Transfer Student Association.
• Develop and execute articulation agreements with community colleges to improve access and outcomes, coordinating with faculty and university leadership.
