Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Director of Resource Planning will establish a new capability across the Studio Business Group, shaping how capacity, staffing demand and vendor use are forecasted and managed.

This leader will collaborate with studios, Finance, HR and Development Strategy to standardize planning, deliver executive insights and guide investment decisions, staffing, outsourcing and internal resource sharing.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in resource planning, workforce planning, portfolio operations, production operations, business planning, capacity management or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing planning, operations, analytics or business teams.
  • Experience supporting complex product development, technology, gaming, entertainment or project‑based organizations.
  • Ability to connect workforce, financial, operational and delivery information into actionable business insights.
  • Experience developing forecasting models and capacity plans.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of internal staffing, contractors, outsourcing and external development partnerships.
  • Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills.
  • Experience building or maturing planning capabilities, processes or operating models is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and establish a resource planning capability across the Studio Business Group.
  • Develop forecasting capabilities and executive insights for decision making.
  • Partner with studios and functional leaders to understand current and future resource demand.
  • Identify opportunities for internal resource sharing and external partnerships.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing Resource Planning team.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships with Finance, Production, HR and Development Strategy.
  • Create scalable processes and measures for planning discipline.
