Job summary

EAB is seeking a Director of Research Advisory Services to lead consultation with senior academic and business leaders, guiding advancement and financial sustainability efforts. The role blends data-driven insights, strategy, and executive storytelling to support partner institutions and drive mission-critical outcomes.

The position requires extensive collaboration, market-facing work, and travel; it emphasizes advisory excellence, content development, and strengthening client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
• Experience with executives at colleges, universities, districts, or schools or as a consultant.
• Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to craft narratives through data visualization, graphics, and slides.
• Strong relationship-building and collaboration with senior-level executives.

Responsibilities

• Terrain Mastery: build expertise across research terrains and translate insights into strategic guidance for university leadership.
• Content Delivery and Facilitation: diagnose problems, guide decisions, and present EAB’s advice via calls, meetings, conferences, and on-site briefings.
• Drive partner engagement by demonstrating value, shaping strategy, and aligning teams with institutional priorities.
• Collaborate with client success and sales to scale delivery and support new client development.
• Generate original insights and content (blogs, briefings, presentations) from assigned terrains.
