Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Director of Strategy in Reston to lead pursuit strategy and win themes for Tier 0/1 opportunities in the federal space. You will translate competitive intelligence into actionable strategy, work with capture teams, and drive bid readiness using Peraton's agile capture methodologies.

You will partner with Corporate Intelligence, Pricing & Estimation, Talent Acquisition, and Procurement to ensure disciplined, winning captures.

Qualifications

• 16+ years in federal government contracting with capture/ pursuit strategy experience.
• Senior practitioner level understanding of capture methodologies (Shipley, Lohfeld, or comparable) and a track record supporting large federal pursuits (> $100M TCV).
• Experience facilitating Black Hat reviews or competitive assessments for diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level strategy artifacts under tight deadlines.
• Must hold and maintain a TS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Pursuit Strategy & Win Arguments for Tier 0/1 pursuits.
• Translate competitive intelligence into win themes and positioning.
• Deliver gate intelligence packages ahead of gate reviews.
• Assess win probability (pWin) at milestones and update rationale.
• Develop and maintain competitive positioning narratives for priority pursuits.
• Facilitate growth intelligence and capture engagements for Tier 0/1 pursuits.
• Support quality assessments for recompete programs bridging delivery and Growth teams.
• Operate as primary consumer/translator of growth intelligence into pursuit artifacts.
• Co-own growth intelligence requirements development with CI/CA for assigned pursuits.
• Apply Peraton's agile capture methodology to ensure quality at each gate.
• Provide independent assessment of capture health for strategy alignment.
• Advise capture teams on best practice and methodology gaps.
