Job summary

Tapio is seeking a seasoned construction professional to lead preconstruction and estimating, owning vendor coordination, RFP cycles, and bid reviews across a growing DG/C&I renewables portfolio in the United States.

The role requires building scalable processes, tools, and internal workflows from the ground up, with a focus on strategic, data-driven pricing and contract alignment across development to construction handoffs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction with preconstruction and EPC RFP experience.
• Experience with procurement, estimating, cost control, scheduling, and contract review.
• Ability to build processes and internal tools from the ground up.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed bid packages and manage full RFP cycles, including vendor coordination and bid reviews.
• Manage internal handoffs from development to construction teams.
• Collaborate with legal on EPC contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Lead all estimating efforts across conceptual, schematic, and construction stages.
• Develop and maintain pricing benchmarks and prequalification procedures for contractors and vendors.
• Support M&A diligence and feasibility reviews from a construction perspective.
• Monitor market trends in materials, labor, and policy to inform pricing strategies.
• Develop internal tools, schedules, and workflows to standardize preconstruction processes.
• Build and maintain strong vendor, EPC, and manufacturer relationships.
