Job summary

Deploy's Client seeks a Director of Estimating & Preconstruction to lead and scale the organization across platform categories, ensuring margin integrity from concept through execution. You will own pricing standards, data governance, and the enterprise cost database, while guiding capabilities for new building types and strategic investments.

You will mentor leaders, collaborate with executive teams, and present performance metrics to the Board and C-suite, driving ongoing improvement and value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 12+ years in the construction industry with 6+ years in Preconstruction and Estimating and leadership experience.
• Proven accountability for estimating and preconstruction across multiple programs or platforms totaling >$250M annual pursuit value.
• Experience presenting to C-suite/Board and influencing commercial outcomes in pursuit decisions.
• Ability to build/reshape a multi-layer estimating organization and develop leaders at Manager/Associate Director levels.
• Strong mastery of estimating standards, data practices, and pricing analytics; experience with AI/analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Estimating & Preconstruction function across platform categories and staff with Associates, Managers, and Directors.
• Own pricing integrity, basis of estimate, risk registers, contingency, and escalation logic.
• Drive post-project cost reviews and translate actuals into improved benchmarks and costs.
• Define and enforce organization-wide estimating standards and data practices.
• Oversee preconstruction database, cost models, and technology investments.
• Present pursuit pricing, margin performance, and strategic pricing guidance to leadership.

Education
