Job summary

Interactive Resources LLC. seeks a Director of Preconstruction to lead the company’s preconstruction and estimating efforts from pursuit to turnover. You will coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to produce accurate budgets and mitigate risks.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive commercial construction and estimating knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with significant estimating/preconstruction experience.
• Proven leadership in commercial preconstruction and estimating projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, building systems, and pricing across markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to preconstruction and estimating teams.
• Lead preconstruction strategy meetings and develop project estimates.
• Ensure estimates reflect scope, costs, and market conditions.
• Review design milestones, unit pricing, and subcontractor pricing for accuracy.
• Develop cost databases and communicate risks and opportunities to senior management.
• Foster collaboration across preconstruction, operations, and other departments.
