Job summary

General Tool Company in Reading, OH, is seeking a Director, PMO to lead day-to-day execution across the program portfolio. You will manage Program/Project Managers, oversee schedules, forecasts, and customer commitments, and drive disciplined execution with cross-functional teams.

You will implement PMO processes, dashboards, and KPIs, while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Program Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressive experience in program management, project management, manufacturing, or related operational roles.
• Experience managing multiple programs, complex customer contracts, or cross-functional execution teams.
• Experience in Department of Defense contract manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industries.
• Strong hands-on experience in program execution, integrated scheduling, critical path management, financial tracking, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and resolve execution issues without direct authority over all resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution management of the program portfolio, ensuring accountability for schedules, financial forecasts, risks, and customer commitments.
• Directly coach and develop Program/Project Managers, setting clear performance expectations.
• Ensure schedules and delivery commitments are data-driven and aligned with cross-functional teams.
• Drive forecasting discipline including revenue, costs, labor hours, profitability, and corrective actions.
• Lead program reviews and performance reporting with visibility into schedule, finances, risks, and actions.
• Identify execution risks and coordinate recovery plans to protect commitments.
