Job summary

GTC seeks a Director, PMO to own program and project execution across the portfolio, reporting to the VP of PMO and partnering with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance. You’ll manage schedules, forecasts, and customer commitments with a disciplined, accountable program culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Program Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressive experience in program management or related operational roles.
• Experience managing multiple programs, complex contracts, or cross-functional teams.
• Experience coaching or developing Program/Project Managers.
• Experience in defense-related industries is a plus.
• Strong hands-on execution, scheduling, financial tracking, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day execution management of the program and project portfolio with accountability for schedules, forecasts, and commitments.
• Directly manages and develops Program and Project Managers with clear performance expectations.
• Implements PMO strategy, governance, systems, and processes in partnership with leadership.
• Drives disciplined execution using data-driven reviews, schedule & financial forecasting, and corrective action.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to align commitments with capabilities and objectives.
• Provides portfolio reporting and risk escalation with actionable improvement recommendations.
• Continuously improves PMO processes, tools, and metrics to strengthen predictability and customer satisfaction.
• Supports contract execution, proposals, and strategic opportunities by evaluating requirements and risks.
