Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in New Jersey is seeking a Director of Program Management Systems & Infrastructure to define how program managers work across development programs, including stage-gate models and governance templates. The role blends business process design and training/change management to ensure adoption of workflows.

You will partner with PMs and R&D leads to translate complexity into actionable workflows and drive organizational adoption.

Qualifications

8–12+ years in pharma/biotech drug development, PMO or R&D ops.
Experience designing governance processes (stage-gates, risk, decision frameworks) in regulated env.
Proven ability to design and deliver training programs and drive organizational change.
Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration with clinical, regulatory, CMC, and finance.
Fluency with PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Planisware).

Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve the stage-gate model, decision criteria, and governance cadence used by Program Managers across development programs.
Design and standardize processes related to core PM systems: governance, risk registers, decision logs, integrated timeline templates.
Facilitate cross-functional process design sessions with clinical, regulatory, CMC, and nonclinical stakeholders to reflect real dependencies.
Identify process and system gaps and lead root-cause analysis when governance breaks down.
Maintain a living library of SOPs, playbooks, and process documentation with version control.
