Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in the United States seeks a Director, PM Systems & Infrastructure to design program-management workflows, stage-gate governance, and standardized templates. This hybrid role combines business process design with training and change management to ensure adoption, not just documentation.

You will partner with clinical, regulatory, CMC, and PMO teams to translate complexity into actionable workflows and drive organizational adoption across development programs.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in pharma/biotech drug development with PMO/R&D ops exposure.
• Experience designing or overhauling governance processes in regulated environments.
• Experience building training programs and leading organizational change initiatives.
• Strong facilitation skills with senior stakeholders across clinical, regulatory, CMC, and finance.
• Fluency in PM tools and governance support for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the stage-gate model, decision criteria, and governance cadence used by Program Managers across development programs.
• Design and standardize processes related to core PM systems including governance, risk registers, decision logs, templates.
• Facilitate cross-functional design sessions to reflect real dependencies and governance readiness.
• Identify gaps and perform root-cause analysis when governance breaks down.
• Maintain a living library of SOPs and ensure regulatory-audit readiness.
• Design onboarding curricula and training paths for PMs at different levels.
• Lead change management for every process or system rollout with impact assessments and training.
• Establish a practitioner steering group to test new processes before wide release.
• Track adoption metrics and report process health to leadership.
• Represent PM process needs in the PM Systems & Infrastructure roadmap.
• Escalate and coordinate changes to PM-facing processes from IT, Quality, or Regulatory.
