Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Director of Platform Engineering to lead strategy, modernization, reliability, and production support for a mission-critical fixed income electronic trading platform in Midtown Manhattan.

This role drives cloud transformation across AWS and Azure, implements SRE and DevOps practices, and ensures high availability in a global trading environment while mentoring high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Production Support.
• Experience managing mission-critical production environments with high availability.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision for platform engineering and production support.
• Lead Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and Production Support teams for front-office trading applications.
• Drive platform modernization across Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Develop and implement reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident management frameworks.
• Own platform stability, resilience, and service availability in production environments.
• Lead cloud transformation initiatives across AWS and Azure.
• Establish CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Partner with trading, architecture, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Oversee major incident management and continuous improvement programs.
• Drive operations excellence through KPI measurement and capacity planning.
