Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Manager to lead and scale cloud-native data platforms in a regulated financial services environment. You will direct architecture, standards, and reliability across multiple teams, shaping platform delivery for high-volume wealth technology.

You will collaborate with product, risk, and security stakeholders to meet accuracy, availability, and compliance requirements while mentoring teams and delivering cost-efficient platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering for distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-native data platforms as products.
• Drive enterprise adoption of public cloud databases through standardized patterns and self-service capabilities.
• Architect highly resilient, distributed systems meeting strict availability, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Security to ensure auditability and data protection.
• Execute large-scale cloud transformation incl. zero-downtime migrations of workloads.
• Build and scale high-performing teams delivering cost efficiencies through standardization and automation.
