Morgan Stanley is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer for Parametric IT's Platform Engineering team in Seattle. Hybrid work arrangement, combining three days in the office with remote days, to empower cloud-native development and reliable delivery of complex applications.

The role focuses on architectural leadership, automation, and developer enablement across AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, and IaC tooling, while mentoring engineers and driving best practices to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in hands-on Platform Engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong cloud-native solution architectures on AWS or Azure.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of reliable, scalable, secure apps and services.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate objectives into scalable solutions.
• Drive best practices and engineering standards across teams.
• Enable developer productivity with reusable components and tooling.
• Provide tier 2/3 support for platform issues.
