Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Houston is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Strategic Programs and Innovation to lead the development and execution of innovative pharmacy initiatives across the system. This role drives cross‑functional collaboration, manages timelines and budgets, and partners with Pharmacy leadership to improve patient access and service models.

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Active Texas Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Five years of Pharmacy experience with at least three years in leadership.
• Administrative/management or supervisory experience.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Project management experience.
• HIPAA/OSHA knowledge and regulatory familiarity.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Proficiency with standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy initiatives from concept to pilot and scale across the system.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, budget, and cross-department collaboration.
• Provide regular updates to Pharmacy leadership for project visibility.
• Identify and address roadblocks and delays proactively.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy leadership to resolve issues efficiently.
• Support evaluation of pilot programs and update initiatives as needed.
• Partner with Director of Pharmacy Operations to ensure feasibility.
• Oversee implementation of projects with leadership approval.
• Support rollout of new service lines and pilot launches.
• Ensure alignment with compliance, finance, and clinical priorities.
• Collaborate with Marketing to support pharmacy campaigns.
• Seek external business and prescription volume opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Active Texas Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Five years of Pharmacy experience with at least three years in leadership level positions.
• Previous Administrative, management, or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Previous project management experience.
• Master's degree in public health or healthcare/business management is preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal laws governing medical and pharmacy services.
• Strong leadership and mediation abilities.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to apply knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles to communicate effectively.
• Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software.
