Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Director of Product Management for Personal Loans to drive growth opportunities across the customer journey—from acquisition to new loan programs and partnerships. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Risk, Credit, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Operations to turn insights into measurable business results.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of product management experience at Principal or Director level with proven business impact.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and successful products.
• Strong analytical and commercial instincts; experience using data to understand behavior, funnels, unit economics, and tradeoffs.
• Experience in consumer lending, cards, fintech, or other data-intensive financial products preferred.
• Experience partnering with Marketing, Growth, Business Development, or Partnerships teams.
• Familiarity with credit decisioning, payments, funding infrastructure, or loan origination is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build compelling business cases and align stakeholders.
• High ownership, curiosity, and ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own growth product strategy for Personal Loans, expanding funded volume and addressable market.
• Develop deep understanding of funnel, behavior, channels, and key performance drivers.
• Identify, size, and prioritize new growth opportunities and partnerships.
• Collaborate with Marketing to align product strategy with acquisition and lifecycle marketing.
• Partner with Partnerships to explore distribution opportunities and optimize relationships.
• Work with Risk, Finance, and Analytics to evaluate opportunities based on impact and economics.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch.
• Use experiments and data to identify constraints and opportunities, defining clear hypotheses and KPIs.
• Advise Personal Loans leadership on strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions.
