Job summary

Upgrade, Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Personal Loans to drive growth across the customer journey—from acquisition to program expansion.

You will operate as an individual contributor, partnering with product, marketing, risk, and analytics to build and launch high-impact initiatives. The role is hybrid, based in San Francisco, CA or Wilmington, DE, with onsite work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience at senior/principal level with a track record of business impact.
• Strong ability to identify growth opportunities and translate ambiguous problems into clear product strategies.
• Experience in consumer lending, fintech, or data-intensive consumer financial products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own growth product strategy for Personal Loans, expanding funded volume and addressable market.
• Understand Personal Loans funnel, customer behavior, acquisition channels, and key drivers.
• Identify, size, and prioritize new growth opportunities and partnerships.
• Collaborate with Marketing to align product strategy with acquisition and lifecycle marketing.
• Work with Partnerships to expand distribution and partner-specific experiences.
• Coordinate with Risk, Credit, Finance, and Analytics to assess impact and economics.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch.
• Use experiments and data to identify constraints and opportunities.
• Define hypotheses and success metrics and iterate post-launch.
• Advise Personal Loans leadership on strategy and investment decisions.
