Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive the next phase of growth for our Personal Loans business. You’ll identify high-impact opportunities across the customer journey and lead cross-functional teams from strategy through execution in a hybrid role based in San Francisco or Wilmington, DE, with onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in product management at senior levels, strong analytics and data-driven decision making, and fintech experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience at senior or principal level.
• Strong analytical and commercial instincts with data-driven decision making.
• Experience in consumer lending or fintech preferred.
• Experience partnering with Marketing, Growth, Business Development, or Partnerships teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the growth product strategy for Personal Loans and growth opportunities.
• Develop deep understanding of the Personal Loans funnel and key drivers of performance.
• Identify, size, and prioritize new growth opportunities including loan programs and partnerships.
• Partner with Marketing to connect strategy with acquisition, segmentation, lifecycle, and channels.
• Collaborate with Partnerships to test distribution opportunities and improve performance.
• Work with Risk, Finance, and Analytics to evaluate impact, economics, and profitability.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch.
• Define hypotheses and success metrics and iterate after launch.
• Advise Personal Loans leadership on product strategy and investment decisions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

MBA or quantitative/technical degree
