Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Director of Product Management for Personal Loans to drive growth opportunities across the customer journey. You will work with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Risk, Credit, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Operations to turn insights into measurable business results.

This hybrid role can be based in SF or Wilmington, with onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays, and requires a strong analytics mindset and senior leadership influence.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of product management at Principal/Director level with business impact
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear product strategies and roadmaps
• Strong analytical and commercial instincts; data-driven decisions
• Experience in consumer lending, fintech, or data-intensive financial products preferred
• Experience partnering with Marketing, Growth, Business Development, or Partnerships teams
• Familiarity with credit decisioning, payments, or loan origination is a plus
• Strong quantitative skills and comfort with experimentation and funnel analytics
• Ability to navigate tradeoffs across growth, customer experience, risk, and economics
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
• Experience with external partners or vendors is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to align senior stakeholders
• High ownership and curiosity in fast-moving environments
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/technical degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the growth product strategy for Personal Loans and expand funded volume and addressable market
• Understand the Personal Loans funnel, customer behavior, channels, and key business drivers
• Identify, size, and prioritize new growth opportunities including new loan programs and partnerships
• Collaborate with Marketing to align product strategy with acquisition, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing
• Partner with Partnerships to identify distribution opportunities and improve performance
• Work with Risk, Finance, and Analytics to assess impact, economics, and profitability
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch
• Use experimentation and data to identify constraints and opportunities
• Define hypotheses and success metrics; iterate post-launch
• Advise Personal Loans leadership on strategy and investment decisions
