Job summary

Citi is seeking a Director to lead Payments Sanctions & Credit Risk Technology, owning full SDLC for sanctions and credit risk platforms. Based in Jersey City, NJ, this hybrid role oversees globally distributed engineering teams and drives transformation acrossPayments Sanctions and Credit Risk within one of the world’s largest financial institutions.

Responsibilities cover architecture, delivery, risk management, and advocacy for inclusion while partnering with business and technology

Qualifications

• 15+ years of application development experience.
• 10+ years in leadership roles specializing in franchise-critical applications.
• 10+ years leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of designing highly available and scalable systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST services, Microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage multiple technology teams.
• Drive design, development, and implementation of robust system architectures.
• Champion an everything-as-code and codified controls mindset.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners, presenting reviews to senior management.
• Proactively assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Promote inclusion and diversity within global teams.
