Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in New York, NY seeks a Global Head of Sanctions Operations & NAM Payments Operations (MD) to lead a senior, global team responsible for sanctions screening, investigations, alert dispositioning, and NAM payment operations across major rails.

The role drives regulatory compliance, process modernization, and client-focused outcomes. The successful candidate will partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Technology to evolve the sanctions program and payments platform, leveraging

Qualifications

Extensive senior leadership experience across Payments Operations, Sanctions, Financial Crimes, AML and compliance operations.
Deep knowledge of sanctions regulations and global payments infrastructure across U.S. and Canada.
Proven track record leading large, global teams in highly regulated environments.
Strong governance, risk management and regulatory engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the global Sanctions Operations organization and NAM Payments Operations with strategic oversight.
Drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and client outcomes.
Modernize through automation, AI, analytics, and digitization initiatives.
